During one of the science lessons the students learnt about plants. They were shown how to plant their own bean seed in a clear plastic bottle. This way they could observe the different growth stages in the plant’s life cycle. They would frequently check to see if their seed needed to be watered. After a few days some students could already see the roots growing and this made them very excited. The use of a clear plastic bottle gave them a live demonstration of how plants actually grow. It was an engaging and motivating experience for the students.
