What does hosting mean?
Hosting students from other countries is a fantastic way to learn about new cultures. Host families form connections not only with the students but also with their families. Through this experience we open doors to new relationships and friendships. Hosting involves having one or two foreign students living with you for around five days during the school year.
How it works
- Interest Notification: When there’s an opportunity to host foreign students, we promptly inform parents. This allows families to consider the prospect of hosting and discuss it together.
- Commitment: Interested parents demonstrate their commitment by filling out an online application form. This form collects essential information about the host family, helping us understand their preferences and availability.
- Student Profiles: Guest students provide short profiles about themselves. These profiles include their hobbies, interests, and any specific needs they might have. This helps potential host families get a sense of who the student is and how they can make their stay enjoyable.
- Matching Process: We engage in a careful matching process. We pair guest students with host families based on compatibility, ensuring a good fit for both parties. Special attention is given if our student has already visited the guest student, enhancing the mutual connection and understanding.

1. Regular check-ins to ensure hosting is going well and address any concerns.
2. Guidance on cultural differences, communication strategies, and hosting best practices.
3. Access to our network of host families to share experiences and tips.
4. Appreciation events and recognition for our dedicated host families.
Together, we ensure a warm and friendly stay for guest students.
