Hands on Agribusiness!

contributed my Mr. Jordan Mifsud, Teacher of Agribusiness

Agribusiness is a vocational subject offered at O level by the Archbishop’s Seminary, together with three other schools in Malta. During agribusiness lessons, students get hands-on exposure to crop cultivation practices, fish-keeping and rabbit-breeding. The study of modern agricultural techniques is especially important for the future of Maltese agriculture, which is currently in decline. Students greatly enjoy their lessons during agribusiness and studies have shown that outdoor learning, especially when surrounded by nature and other animals, have many positive effects on the students’ well-being.
