At the start of every scholastic year, the houses are already planning who would be participating in the Football League. Enthusiasm prevails in the majority of the students, either because they want to win or just because they want to have fun. But what makes a good team? Team spirit, team commitment and determination are the basis of a team. Our house, Year 9- Azzopardi, showed this during the first match we had against Year 9 – Wojtila. We believed in ourselves and showed great team spirit, which is the feeling of pride and loyalty that exists among the members of a team and that makes them want their team to do well and to be the best, helping us score 2 goals. None of our players seemed angry when the captain told them that they were not going to play. Students from other houses and from our own house, even those who are not interested in football, together with our mentor, came to support the team. We also showed great sportsmanship by playing fairly and by helping our opponents accept defeat in the same way we would have accepted it if we had lost.
