The biology plant hunt was a very fun and easy way to learn about the different types of plants and the environment around us. We also got to learn the different scientific names of the plants. We were paired up in groups of three and told to go around the school grounds in search of different types of plants. In some cases, the teams split up so we could find the ten different plants in the allotted time. We also enjoyed the fact that the activity took place out of the classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ten plants we had to find consisted of two species of moss (bryophytes), one species of fern (pteridophytes), three coniferous trees (gymnosperms) and four flowering plants (angiosperms).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This task showed us that we did not need to use transport to leave the school grounds to observe all the different plants. We are very lucky and should be grateful to have all these different types of plants around our school and we think that people should appreciate it more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are thankful for this activity which was fun and simple to understand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
