{"id":2114,"date":"2021-03-25T08:37:12","date_gmt":"2021-03-25T07:37:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.maltaseminary.org\/wp\/?p=2114"},"modified":"2021-03-25T08:40:56","modified_gmt":"2021-03-25T07:40:56","slug":"reusing-plastic-in-design-technology-copy-copy-copy-4-copy-copy-copy-copy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.maltaseminary.org\/?p=2114","title":{"rendered":"Drama in Education"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"text-align:right\" class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><em>contributed by Mr Stefan Busuttil, Drama Teacher<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap has-medium-font-size\">One might ask<em>, \u201cWhy is Drama in Education important?\u201d The answer is given by many scholars such as Deasy, Richard J. who states \u201c<\/em>that drama education\u2026 has been scientifically proven to improve academic achievement in\u00a0<em>all other subject areas<\/em><strong>.<\/strong>\u201dAnother scholar, Catterall James S.,\u00a0 observes <em>that \u201chigh arts students \u2026 earned better grades, were less likely to drop out of school, were less likely to report boredom, had a more positive self-concept, and were more involved in community service.\u201d <\/em>The main objective of Drama Education is to trigger the students\u2019 creative imagination. As the well-known Einstein once said, <em>\u201cimagination is more important than knowledge.
