The school council members present were
representatives from several church and government schools, both at secondary
and post-secondary levels. Representing our school were the members of the
executive from both the Year 7 & 8 council and the Year 9, 10 & 11
council; namely the respective presidents, vice presidents, treasurers and
secretaries. The PR officer of the council was also present.

The
training was split into three parts which all dealt with the theme of
democracy. During the sessions, the members worked together to discuss ideas,
complete the given tasks and present a plan for an event that will be taking
place in the near future. Our proposal was very well received by the
administrators of the training course as well as the other school councils. At
the end of the event, the student councils were presented with €150 to be used in
future projects. This was a valuable experience for all who attended. This training
has aided in making the running of the council smoother and more efficient.

contributed by Aiden Borg, Student Council PRO On Wednesday 15th January, a training session for student council members from different schools was held by Aġenzija Żgħażagħ at the Youth Village in Santa Venera.
