{"id":1288,"date":"2019-11-15T10:09:56","date_gmt":"2019-11-15T09:09:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.maltaseminary.org\/wp\/?p=1288"},"modified":"2019-11-15T10:10:02","modified_gmt":"2019-11-15T09:10:02","slug":"the-use-of-learning-stations-in-year-2-classes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.maltaseminary.org\/?p=1288","title":{"rendered":"The use of learning stations in Year 2 classes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"text-align:right\" class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>c<em>ontributed&nbsp;by&nbsp;Ms&nbsp;Genevieve&nbsp;Darmanin, <\/em><\/strong> <br><strong><em>\ufeffClass&nbsp;Teacher&nbsp;2.1<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap has-medium-font-size\">In order to encourage our\nstudents to become independent learners and work together in groups, we decided\nto start implementing learning stations during lessons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Learning stations are places in\nthe classroom where groups of learners work collaboratively on different tasks\nin order to revise content and practise skills related to any particular topic.\nA different activity or task is set up on each group table. Each group of\nstudents works on a given task for a set amount of time before rotating\nindependently to the next task.
