We meet in the science laboratory number 3. In this club we will be doing lots of different experiments and at the moment we are learning about sundials. A sundial is a device that tells the time of day when there is sunlight by the apparent position of the Sun in the sky. These were used by the Romans many years ago. One day together with the help of Mr Neville, we will be building our own sundial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">An experiment we did last week consists of oxygen and carbon dioxide. &nbsp;A wooden splint was put in a conical flask full of oxygen. While the fire was still red, the wooden splint caught fire immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The aim of this writing is to attract more students from year 7 and year 8 to attend the science club and learn interesting facts.
